UPDATED PRESS RELEASE – CANCEL Missing Persons: At Risk, Welfare Check

Vaelupe “Lupe” Ena was last seen on Monday, November 9th, 2015 after she picked up her 8 year-old son Nemiah Ena at a local elementary school in South San Francisco. Vaelupe and Nemiah failed to return to their South San Francisco home that evening and have not been heard from since.   Vaelupe’s family (with whom they live) reported them as missing to Police on Wednesday.

Nemiah has special needs. The family said that this is out of character for Vaelupe to not come home. Although no foul play is suspected, the family is anxious to check on their well being. Nemiah may seek out a place to stay at local shelters or residential facilities.   Nemiah has no known vehicles and it is unknown where they might be going.

Anyone with information about Vaelupe or Nemiah is encouraged to call the South San Francisco Police Department at 650-877- 8900.
