Cultural Arts Commission Awarding $500 Scholarship; How to apply

The Cultural Arts Commission is awarding a $500 scholarship to a graduating SSFUSD senior who has shown achievement in the arts, which includes all forms of visual arts. Student applicants must be graduating SSFUSD seniors planning on continuing studies in the arts. There is a possibility of one winner at each of the three high schools in SSF: South San Francisco High School, El Camino High School, Baden High School. If there is more than one finalist in any school, the winner may be chosen by interview.
The award and check will be presented at each school’s Senior Awards Night. The finalist will also be invited to a second presentation at a televised City Council meeting. The finalist’s original art may be featured in an extended exhibit at the Municipal Services Building. Completed applications must be received by Tuesday, April 19, 2016.
