CPAP Machines Needed For Patients Without Adequate Benefits

South San Francisco, CA              February 11, 2016    Submitted by ESC Neighbor via FB Message

Hello Friends and Family, today I was talking with one of the Nurses at Kaiser as I had collected 5 (CPAP) machines already and was delivering them to him. His gratitude was truly heart felt. He said that they have several patients that do not have plans that cover CPAP machines, that their lives are being shortened, by the disease of sleep apnea, if they do not get machines.

Continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) therapy is a common treatment for obstructive sleep apnea. It includes a small machine that supplies a constant and steady air pressure, a hose, and a mask or nose piece.

What I’m asking for is if any of you have a machine that is sitting in the closet not being used or if you’ve recently gotten a new machine. If you are within a 100 miles of South San Francisco I would be happy to come and pick it up. If you are further away and would like to donate your machine and don’t mind paying for shipping it to my house(send me a separate email to anthonyvicino@comcast.net with CPAP in the subject line), I will get it to Nurse at Kaiser to get to the patients. Your generosity is always appreciated.
I know how lucky I am to have a health plan, otherwise who knows what condition I would be in without my machine.

Love always Tony Vicino
One request, If you wouldn’t mind sharing my post, I will be very grateful. Thank you.
