SSFPD Media Release: Major injury collision

On 2-18-16 at approximately 8:OOPM, the South San Francisco Fire Department and South San Francisco Police Department responded to a report of a collision involving a vehicle into a pedestrian. The driver of the vehicle was travelling northbound on the 400 block of Alida Way when the vehicle struck a 72 year old female who was crossing Alida Way in the marked crosswalk from the west sidewalk to the east sidewalk. The pedestrian sustain major injuries and was transported  to a local hospital.  Speed does not appear to be  a factor in the co1lision. The driver of the vehicle did not display symptoms of intoxication and was not detained.

 

The South San Francisco Police Department is asking for any possible witnesses  to contact  Traffic  Officer Chon  at 650-829-7265.
