Hiking is not only great exercise for the body, it is great for your mind! Rejuvenate, Recreate!

Join San Mateo Park Rangers and docents on a hike every month that combines exercise and information about park features and natural history. Dr. Eshwar Kapur from Kaiser Permanente South San Francisco will join many of the hikes to share tips on being active while avoiding injuries. Take A Hike is a member of the Healthy Parks, Healthy People Bay Area collaborative with sponsorship from Kaiser Permanente.
For the few parks that have a parking fee, just state that you are there for the Take a Hike program at the gate and your fee will be waived. Arrive at 9 am at the designated start location—look for the Take A Hike signs. After warm-up exercises, the hike begins.
Hikes are every month. The first dates are March 5 in Pescadero Creek Park, Loma Mar, and April 2 in Coyote Point Recreation Area, San Mateo. For more detail, all the locations, all the dates and maps for each park, go to CLICK HERE.
