The South San Francisco High School varsity girls’ basketball team will play Saratoga for the Central Coast Section Division III (medium-sized schools) championship Saturday, March 5, at 6 p.m. at Santa Clara University. The Warriors defeated Soquel Wednesday, 57-49, in Millbrae to advance to the CCS title game. The Warriors, coached by Paul Carion, were led by Britteny Cedeno and Jerlene Miller. South San Francisco represents the Peninsula Athletic League. The Warriors were 2016 co-champions with Oceana of Pacifica.
