On Monday morning at 9:00 a.m. several residents in the Country Club Drive neighborhood of South San Francisco reported seeing a transient male wandering around the neighborhood looking into houses. Responding police officers contacted a male subject matching the description at a local business on the 300 block of El Camino Real. Investigation revealed that Antonio Matier, a 26-year old transient from Oakland, had discarded two items of clothing he was wearing in some bushes near the neighborhood. Matier replaced his discarded clothing with two items of clothing taken from a garage on the 400 block of Granada Drive. The owner of the stolen items positively identified the items in Matier’s possession. Officers arrested Matier for and booked him into the San Mateo County Jail for residential burglary, parole violation and possession of drug paraphernalia.
