PD Update on Attempted Kidnapping Reported by Parent March 19th

On May 19th a South San Francisco 17 year old female reported an attempted kidnapping while walking around 7:30pm near 1st Lane. We have received an update from police that the case is still open but there is no new information to share. “These types of cases are taken very seriously and they remain open while detectives research all leads and information received.” Sergeant Ken Chetcuti tells us “The suspect was described as a male adult, approximately 25-30 years of age, approximately 6’00” tall, with blue eyes, short brown hair, wearing a black hoodie style sweater and brown pants. The suspect seated in the passenger seat of the suspect’s vehicle was described as a male adult wearing a black hoodie style sweater. The suspect’s vehicle was described as an older four-door red vehicle.”
