On Tuesday, April 26, 2016, around 8:40 pm, an elderly woman was inside her residence located on the 2300 block of Bourbon Court when she heard a noise inside her home. The resident went to investigate the noise and found an unknown male rummaging through her property. The suspect fled the home upon seeing the resident. Numerous officers responded and conducted an extensive search for the suspect, but he was not located. The suspect was able to steal several items from the victim’s home. The victim was able to provide a limited description of suspect as an unknown race male, 5’02” to 5’03” in height, and wearing a black baseball cap, black jacket, black pants, and black and white sneakers. The suspect may have fled in a dark older-model sedan, but this could not be verified. The Police Department is asking the community for help in identifying the person responsible.
