Can I meet my dog’s walker before the walker starts?
Yes, you can set up an optional meet and greet, which is free!
How do I rate a dog walker if I have never met him/her?
The rating is based on each walk experience. During the walk you get to see the GPS map and after the walk you get the report card with the write up, photo, and additional information. In addition, when you get home, you’ll notice your dog is happy and well-cared for. After the walk is complete, you can rate the walker in the app and it shows up on the walker’s profile. You can also leave a review comment.
Do you screen your walkers?
Wag! values trust and safety above all else. All of our walkers have been background checked, Wag! certified & and rigorously screened/vetted.
Can the walker be the same person each day, so my dog gets used to him/her?
Yes, if you set up a recurring schedule you will get the same person each day! As you review your walkers with 5 stars they become priority walkers for you and are prioritized for your on demand requests. However, we have found after an owner has a good first experience it’s not important to him/her that the walker is the same!
Is my dog walked alone or with other dogs? Can the walker take multiple dogs to reduce the price?
We don’t offer group walks right now, unless you have more than one dog. Each additional dog in your household is $5 extra per half hour.
Are off-leash dog walks or exercise activities available?
All Wag! walks are on-leash, unless you specifically request otherwise. Any off-leash activities are provided exclusively at the owner’s risk, as Wag’s insurance policy does not cover off-leash activities.
How do I ensure Wag! gets access to my home?
Wag! provides free lock boxes to securely store your key somewhere accessible to your walker, allowing her/him to safely gain access to your home. You can always faciliate the access/key exchange yourself. If you have a doorman, you can also leave the key with him/her.
