South San Francisco, CA June 21, 2016 Submitted by SSFPD 
On Monday June 20th at approximately 5:00 PM, the South San Francisco Police Officers and paramedics responded to the reports of a traffic collision on the 1200 block of northbound El Camino Real. Emergency personnel arrived and found two vehicles at the scene. Investigation revealed that a Modesto resident, Mark Mata Anthony, was driving his vehicle northbound on El Camino Real, failed to stop for a red light and collided with a vehicle exiting a driveway. Mata displayed objective signs and symptoms of being under the influence, was placed under arrest and booked into the San Mateo County main jail.
The driver of the second vehicle sustained minor non-life threatening injuries as a result of the collision and was transported to a local hospital for further evaluation.
