New principals have been selected for two elementary schools in the South San Francisco Unified School District. Both appointments were announced July 21 during a meeting of the District Board of Trustees. Shelby Biddy was chosen as the principal at Sunshine Gardens; Jonathan Covacha was named as the principal at Martin. Ms. Biddy comes to the District after working as a principal in the Monterey Peninsula school district. Mr. Covacha most recently served as assistant principal at Parkway Heights Middle School. Both appointments were unanimous decisions by the Trustees.
