FROM MIKE: Yup, Otter (Mike) is not growing his mustache for “the grow the stache for cash” supporting the AARBF this year! Instead I (Mouser/Evie) am wearing a “bow for dough” which means that I will be wearing a bow for the next 6 weeks. It is part of the same fundraising effort and allows us ladies to participate in raising funds. Since we have always appreciated all of your support with the Alisa Ann Ruch Burn Foundation we didn’t want to double dip. So here’s a little bit about why the AARBF’s work is so important to us and a link for you to donate or join my team if you feel so inclined to support this worthy cause.
Whether a burn survivor outing that allows burn survivors to network and put coping tools or tools for success into their toolbag, (Champ Camp, Getaway, Young Adult Summit, Ski Trips, Outdoor Adventure to name a few.) or support help like back to school, back to work, support groups, hospital groups, gas cards etc. or just as important is our fire prevention efforts (FISE) where we work with different fire departments to assure that children are learning fire safety.
So for all of the support you have shown me and the organization we are so passionate about THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! Last year Mike’s goal was to raise $750, enough to send one child to Champ Camp and that is my goal this year. Last year your donations allowed Mike’s fundraising efforts to sent 2 children to camp. So if you can see your way to contribute something this year or sign up on my team, thanks again. If you can’t thank you for your previous contributions both money and moral support. FROM EVIE: As most of you know the Alisa Ann Ruch Burn Foundation has been a large part of our life for the last 28 years. As a counselor, volunteer, fundraiser and camp mom, I have witnessed first hand what a difference our donations of time and money can make in the life of someone who has been burned. When you tell an adult survivor who was in your cabin her first year at Champ Camp that we get back more than we give and her response is that she understands how rewarding being a counselor/volunteer is but that I am missing the point that her life is completely different because of her participation in our programing it not only brings a tear to your eye, uplifts your spirits but also confirms just how important all of our donations are to the children and adults that take advantage of what the Alisa Ann Ruch Burn Foundation has to offer. So please join me in making a difference in a burn survivors life if not with time then with your hard earned money!!! Thank you for all of the support you have given Otter & I over the years. e-hugs, Mouser (Evie) CLICK HERE TO DONATE
