On October 21st, 2016 at approximately 2:00 pm, the South San Francisco Police Department received information of an anonymous threat that included the Boys and Girls Clubs in South San Francisco as well as the other Boys and Girls Clubs in San Mateo County. The South San Francisco locations were temporarily closed as a safety precaution until officers were able to determine each location was safe. The threat was only directed towards the Boys and Girls Clubs and did not involve any other locations in South San Francisco.
