SSFPD Media Release: Strong Armed Robbery

On Friday evening October 22, 2016, at approximately 8:00 p.m. a male entered the business located at 125 Hickey Boulevard.  A store employee noticed the male subject leaving the store a short time later with a handful of items he did not pay for. The employee confronted the male and attempted to detain him until police could be notified of the theft. The suspect forcibly pulled away from the employee and ran westbound on Hickey Boulevard.

Surveillance footage obtained by police confirmed the suspect stole several items before fleeing the area.

The suspect is described as an African American adult, in his 20’s, 6’0” tall, 150 pounds, with short black hair, and a goatee. The male was wearing a green jacket, khaki pants, white and black tennis shoes, carrying a black handbag and a red backpack.
