Director’s Article

Its hard to believe that another year just went by! Time does fly when you are having fun!

Besides enjoying our chamber work, 2016 kept us busy with the hosting of 23 events that included Ribbon Cuttings, Mixers, New Member Breakfasts, Multi-Chambers Expo, Good Morning South San Francisco, Installation & Business Awards Dinner, Taste of South San Francisco, Annual Higher Education Scholarship Program & Luncheon, and more.

These events provided priceless networking, and business opportunities for everyone who took the time to attend.
The Chamber also increased its membership by welcoming 33 new members!!
If you have not attended any chamber events yet, please make it a new year’s resolution for 2017!

The 2017 Business Awards Dinner is coming up on Thursday, February 23rd. It will be held at the SSF Conference Center. The invitation to the event will be sent soon.
Assemblymember Kevin Mullin has graciously agreed to MC the program again this year.

The selection committee for the business awards is busy going through the ballots received. We will be announcing the “winners” in the February newsletter.
Every year at the event, the Chamber also recognizes individuals for their special involvement with the chamber and the community.
This year the individuals selected are as follows:
Outstanding Citizen: Roy Bava
Joe Fernekes Volunteer of the Year Award: Don Edwards with Bronstein Music
Dick Noftsger Lifetime Achievement Award: Tony Clifford with FNBNORCAL.
The SSF Police Department, the Downtown Bike Patrol Officers, and Officer Robbie Chon will also receive special recognition!
We hope to see you there!!

Member Feature ~ Wilson Leong, KW Real Estate Group Elite Representation

Wilson started his career in real estate at the age of 16 when he was given the opportunity to man-age a duplex in San Francisco. Charged with the daily operations of the property, his tasks included marketing rental units, screening tenants, coordinating maintenance and repairs, maintaining budget and records, researching applicable law, and handling tenant issues to ensure all parties were happy. After experiencing success in property management and sales early in his career, he was determined to identify and assist more people with real estate needs and he obtained his real estate broker’s license at the age of 23.

Wilson’s extensive property management background affords his clients with local expertise on to the constantly-changing real estate market, superior and heightened awareness as a fiduciary, and valuable industry relations that are leveraged for his clients. He has since made a name for himself specifically in South San Francisco, being #1 in buyer and seller representations and has built a team of talented individuals who specialize and focus on different aspects of business. Just as you would expect at the doctor’s office for there to be a front desk assistant, nurse, general doctor, and special needs doctors, Wilson and his team are here to serve and are true fiduciaries to his clients’ needs.
