South San Francisco, CA March 5, 2017 from our Facebook page
We’ve had #SSF neighbors ask this past week with some responses saying electrical problems, all signage down, and another that hey were evicted by landlords.
ESC is waiting for an official response from Arby’s Corp to get the full story – in the meanwhile they just updated their FB pg stating PERMANENTLY CLOSED.
Best memory? Best food?
What will replace them in that location??

The only Arby’s in northern peninsula, sad for it to go, but I can’t drive to Sunnyvale for just a sandwich from Arby’s,
Best location for the Arby’s, but hate to see the building go soon a someone else builds a Motel on the property of another chain
I wish theyd just bring it all to code refurbishished and cleaned….then a new Arby’s.
They constantly show ads and commercial’s when the nearest one is in Fairfield or San Jose. While it just sits there as an abandoned
eye sore for years!! ?
I used to live on A St. near Orange Park as a kid in the 90s and it’s been there for as long as I can remember. I never ate there as an adult, even though I drive on El Camino almost every day.
I had not been to this Arby’s in a while. Just drove by last week and found out they were closed. Hate to see it go as there is no-one close. The sandwiches were excellent. The staff was friendly.
My fondest memory is when I was in the store and a couple of neighborhood boys showed up wanting to eat. It seemed like they didn’t have enough money to pay to get all that they hoped to eat. (I remember those days and being in that situation) I tried to secretly slip the manager some money to pay for whatever they wanted to eat, and then sneak out of the store without the boys knowing who paid. Somehow they found me as I got in my vehicle and thanked me. I just hope they had a good comfortable meal and had fun sitting down to relax and eat together as friends.
I started going to this Arby’s w/my Grandparents in about 78 or 79. I thought about them every time I passed it. THATS why I’ll miss the SSF Arby’s.
Does anybody know where there is another arbys nearby? I dont have a car but thats never stopped me before. hope there is one within walking distance.

I ate at Arby’s almost every week, twice a week, for twenty + years. I actually proposed to my wife there. Will be lighting some candles tonight to say goodbye to this place properly. Goodbye, old friend.
Hey gus, im sure you remember me. i will miss arbys too. first the hot dog place and now this. anybody know where a guy can get a good meal? i guess i’ll be cooking some hot dogs this weekend instead of arbys. miss those talks with you, gus.

R.I.P. Arby’s. This was a favorite hang out of The Fellowship for many years.
I hear you brother. A sad, sad day.
