USO Bay Area is Urgently Seeking Volunteers for SFO

USO Bay Area is urgently seeking volunteers to support the USO at the San Francisco International Airport

We are in need of volunteers to fill our 4-8pm and 8-11pm shifts to ensure we remain open for active service members and military families during their stay at SFO. We cannot fill this void without help from our community. We take pride in being open 365 days a week/24 hours a day. We have not had to close our doors at any time in the past 50 years at SFO and we don’t plan to start closing them now” Monique August, USO Bay Area Center Director, noted in an email.

The USO SFO center serves more than 30,000 active duty military personnel, reservists, National Guard troops, and their military families each year. Volunteers act as concierges through welcoming and engaging service members, serving refreshments, providing information, and assisting with other situations as they arise. Many of the volunteers have served more than 20 years.

If you are able to make a difference in the lives of those making sacrifices for our country, contact Mark Adams at 650-821-7615 or sign up at volunteers.uso.org.
