We are pleased to be able to offer English Language Arts through STEM course during the summer for 3rd- 5th grade and for 6-8th grade students (2017/18 School Year):
Grades 3-5 at Spruce Elementary M-F 8a-12p June 14-July 7 (no class July 3 & 4)
Grades 6-8 at SSFHS M-F 8:30a-12:45p June 12-July13 (no class July 3 & 4)
This summer course will focus on English Language Arts & STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) skills needed for the rigors of Common Core State Standards. We will focus on these subjects and intentionally integrate them into every aspect of the students’ education.
Your child has been selected because he/she has shown potential in improving in Mathematics, English Language Arts and Science through hands on approach with projects. Please consider allowing your child to attend this course which will enable them to practice their skills and build a solid foundation to help them with their future classes.
Please complete the application below and have your child bring it to their school’s main office. The class space is limited, so please return application as soon as possible. For questions please call the Main Office at your child’s school.
