Blood Drive in Honor of Vanessa Morales
When Vanessa was 7 years old she was diagnosed with Severe Aplastic Anemia (SAA). It was a fight we knew we had to beat and she did it all with a smile. SAA is a disease where the bone marrow and blood stem cells that reside there are damaged and no longer producing. During her battle with this disease she received many blood and platelet transfusions in order to keep her little body going until her Anti-thymocyte globulin (ATG) kicked in. Today I am happy to report Vanessa is doing well and living a happy healthy life. Although she is not cured from SAA, it is because of those donors that Vanessa is here with us today.
So please join us in our 2nd annual blood drive and together we can save lives!
