On Saturday evening, at approximately 6:00 PM, a 17-year-old South San Francisco resident was riding his bicycle on the 10 block of South Spruce Avenue. On two separate occasions, a vehicle attempted to intentionally ram the juvenile off of his bicycle. The driver of the vehicle, 20 year old Serena Greene of Daly City, then confronted the victim and demanded his bicycle. The victim complied and gave his bicycle to Greene. A passenger in the vehicle, identified as 20 year old Menlo Park resident Makayla Vanpelt, threatened the victim during the incident. The suspects then fled the scene with the victim’s property.
South San Francisco officers located Green and Vanpelt a short distance from the scene in the vehicle used in the crime. Both were positively identified and arrested on the listed charges. The suspects were transported to the San Mateo County Jail.
