On Tuesday night at approximately 9:28 PM, a 65-year-old San Francisco resident was walking across the intersection of Westborough Boulevard and Gellert Boulevard in South San Francisco when she was struck by a silver, newer model, hatchback. The driver of the vehicle stopped briefly and then fled the scene eastbound towards highway 280. The pedestrian was transported to a local trauma hospital and is being treated for non-life threatening injuries. The collision was captured on the camera system of a passing transit bus. The investigation into the identity of the driver is continuing.
