On 9/26/2017 at approximately 8:09 p.m., 63 year old Julian Guzman of South San Francisco was responsible for a traffic collision with another vehicle on the overpass of Oyster Point Boulevard at Airport Boulevard. The driver and passenger of the other involved vehicle sustained injuries as a result of the collision. Guzman submitted to a series of field sobriety tests and performed poorly. Officers found Guzman to be driving while intoxicated.
The investigation revealed Guzman was also responsible for several hit and run traffic collisions on 300 block of Maple Avenue, the 300 block of Miller Avenue and the 400 block of Hemlock Avenue. While on the 400 block of Hemlock Avenue, Guzman intentionally drove towards the owner of the other involved vehicle as he was fleeing the area. The owner jumped out of the way to avoid being struck by Guzman’s vehicle. Guzman was placed under arrest for the listed charges and booked into the San Mateo County Jail.
