South San Francisco, CA November 29, 2017
On Saturday December 9, 2017, pilgrims from throughout the Bay Area, California, and neighboring states will come together to pray and walk in a pilgrimage through the cities of South San Francisco, Colma, Daly City, and San Francisco, to honor Our Lady of Guadalupe. This has been a tradition of devotion and faith for the past twenty-three years, and this year more than 35,000 participants are expected.
The pilgrims gather at 5:00 a.m. at All Souls Church in South San Francisco and at 6:00 a.m. begin to walk, making their way through Holy Cross Cemetery in Colma , Holy Angels Church in Daly City, St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in San Francisco, and finally to St. Mary’s Cathedral in San Francisco.
At the Cathedral, Archbishop Salvatore Cordlieone will celebrate Mass at 2:00 p.m.
