South San Francisco, CA November 13, 2017
UPDATE: November 13, 2017 8:30pm from SSFPD CLICK HERE
A vehicle crashed into the Gellert Safeway Store earlier today, around 11am, leaving a hole in the building and paramedics taking away at least one injured person. Multiple neighbors sent photos as they asked for updates. “We saw a woman being taken away on a stretcher” one neighbor tells us “We didn’t want to stick around, or be in the way. Does anyone know how she is doing?”
It appears the driver crashed through the wall that leads to the breezeway and not into the store itself.
Everything South City has an inquiry to South San Francisco Police and we will update when more information is available. We do hope everyone is doing OK.
Thank you to our neighbors for looking out, and for sharing these photos.
