Everything South City is Proud to Support South San Francisco Small Businesses Saturday November 25th

South San Francisco, CA   November 17, 2017

At Everything South City we support our local small businesses 356 a year and realize that the Thanksgiving weekend is the time most of us drop our cash…. and we want to encourage our neighbors to think about some of our Mom & Pop shops that are there for us 365 days a year. These are the businesses that support our kids school programs. They kick it down when we need fundraising prizes. They sponsor our youth sports teams. They hire our kids! Did you know when we buy from local businesses $68 out of $100 STAYS IN OUR LOCAL ECONOMY?

Our small businesses are the first in line to take a hit such as we all experienced a few years ago during the recession – and many of us are still feeling those effects. The 3/50 PROJECT takes this a bit further and really makes us think:

  • What three independently owned business would you miss if they disappeared? Stop in. Say hello. Pick up something that brings a smile. Your purchases are what keeps those businesses around!
  • If half the employed population spent $50 each month in locally owned independent businesses it would generate more than $42.6 Billion in revenue. Imagine if 3/4 of our local population did that!
  • For every $100 spent in locally owned stores $68 returns to the community through taxes, payroll taxes, and other expenditures. If you spend that in a national chain only $34 stays local. Spend in online and NOTHING COMES HOME.
