South San Francisco, CA November 10, 2017 Submitted by Vanessa Sanchez
Our South San Francisco Girl Scouts Troop 62133 is hosting a drive to benefit the Napa Fire victims through November 30th. Items in need are new toiletry, socks, and other items described in the flyer below. Items will be donated to Abriendo Puertas, a Napa Non-profit ‘Community Resource Center that works hand in hand with Latinos to inspire and achieve healthy living, self-sufficiency, and opportunities for leadership and community engagement.’ Many families that need help are employees in the wineries, hotel and restaurant industries who have lost their homes, some have lost work due to the downturn in tourism at this time.
This is the first big project our girls are hosting as they are finally old enough to organize something like this.
They’re 5th graders at Buri Buri school! Please help us make this a successful drive!
Please share with all your family and friends!
