On Saturday, November 25, 2017, at approximately 4:25 AM, police officers responded to the 700 block of Dubuque Avenue to investigate an alarm activation to a local hardware store. An investigation found the store had been burglarized. Two male suspects forced entry into the closed store and stole dozens of “Nest” wi-fi electronic thermostat devices. The suspects fled in a white, four door vehicle, possibly a Dodge Intrepid. Despite an extensive search, officers were unable to locate the suspects.
