On 12/10/2017, at approximately 5:19pm a South San Francisco resident was walking north on Magnolia Avenue when an unknown male suspect, in all dark clothing, approached the victim. The victim became suspicious, turned and began to walk south on Magnolia Avenue. The suspect then approached the victim from behind and grabbed the victim’s necklace off of his neck, causing a minor injury. The suspect then fled on foot and was last seen running south on Magnolia Avenue towards Railroad Avenue.
The suspect was described as an African American or Hispanic male, approximately 5’7″ to 6’0″ and between 160 and 170 pounds. The suspect spoke English as well as Spanish.
The suspect was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, with the hood covering his head, black pants and black shoes. No weapons were seen.
