The South San Francisco Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce its sponsorship of college scholarships to assist students to continue their academic and/or career pursuits.
Student applicants must be residents of South San Francisco and must be graduating in 2018. They must be able to offer proof of registration in a college or institution of higher learning, including trade school. The awards will be paid directly to the student.
Candidates will be judged in the following areas
- *Community service or involvement
- *Extra-curricular activities, including sports
- *Academic (grade point average) and career goals
- *Resume
- *Overcoming Obstacles
- *An essay of not more than 300 words (topics listed on application)
- Copy of Transcripts
Candidates should submit the 2018 Scholarship Application/Resume/Essay to the South San Francisco Chamber of Commerce, 213 Linden Avenue, South San Francisco, CA 94080 no later than Thursday, March 1, 2018 by 4:00 p.m. Transcripts should also be submitted to the Chamber office at the same time. A committee will review all of the pertinent information and select student winners. The winners and their guest will be invited to a hosted luncheon on Thursday, April 26, 2018 at the South San Francisco Elks Lodge. Scholarship awards and certificates will be presented at the luncheon.

Deadline for submission to the Chamber Office is on Thursday, March 1, 2018 by 4:00pm. Applications received after the deadline will not be considered. Transcripts must at submitted at the same time. Applicants must be residents of South San Francisco.
