SMC Coroner’s Office to host a “Missing Persons Day” Sat April 21st

South San Francisco, CA   March 5, 2018
BAY AREA MISSING PERSONS DAY: The San Mateo County Coroner’s Office to host a “Missing Persons Day” – Saturday, April 21, 2018 – 9:00am to 3:00pm – 50 Tower Road, San Mateo, Ca 94402
This is the first community event of its kind in the Bay Area, although community events like this have been highly successful within California and across the nation for identifying the unidentified and reporting missing persons. Family members and friends of a missing person will be encouraged to bring biological relatives of the missing person to submit family reference DNA to CODIS, and provide identifying information such as surgical X-rays or dental information. The event will promote awareness towards missing and unidentified persons and promote proactive efforts by encouraging completion of identifying and medical information to be provided to first responders in the event of an emergency, such as child identification kits and “Vial of Life” information for adults.
