Mayor Liza Normandy and Boys & Girls Clubs of North San Mateo County are teaming up to host the Mayor’s 1st Annual Local Celebrity Basketball Game on Friday, May 18 from 5-7pm at Boys & Girls Clubs of North San Mateo County’s Orange Park Clubhouse (201 W. Orange Ave., South San Francisco).
This Celebrity Game will be an annual exhibition basketball game featuring local government officials, public safety, local business and organizations, and Boys & Girls Clubs youth participating as players and ceremonial coaches. During half-time there will be an basketball skills exhibition by Boys & Girls Clubs Community Sports Program participants.
The charitable purpose of this game is to raise money in support of the summer day camp youth development programs, and to help reduce the financial burden for deserving underserved youth to experience safe, stimulating, and enriching summer programs.
