South San Francisco, CA August 6, 2018 Submitted by Joe Fragola, Kaiser Permanente
Kaiser Permanente is once again proud to be a major sponsor of the 2018 annual Pistahan Parade & Festival, an international celebration of Filipino culture and cuisine taking place on the weekend Saturday, August 11 and Sunday, August 12. The event will be held at Yerba Buena Gardens in San Francisco and is expected to draw more than 80,000 people from throughout the Bay Area each day.
Kaiser Permanente will host the Health Pavilion and invites everyone to come and learn how to create a healthy lifestyle. Visitors will be able to get free blood pressure screenings and glucose screenings, as well as get health education information on heart health and stroke prevention, diabetes, and healthy living for adult and children.
Dr. Charito Sico, a pediatrician, and Kaiser Permanente’s Physician Ambassador for the Pistahan event will lead a team of volunteer physicians at the “Talk with a Doc” booth so festival attendees can stop by and ask general health care questions.
