South San Francisco, CA March 6, 2019 Submitted by Benjamin Colombo, Armstrong Brewing Company
– Move over, Mr. Belding! Armstrong Brewing Company releases “Saved by the Bel-gian” in recognition of teachers and educators nationwide.
As many of the nation’s teachers go on strike for better pay and better resources, Armstrong Brewing recognizes the importance of teachers to our children and to our communities, and we support their efforts toward better working conditions. To show our support and solidarity, we are offering what we know best – beer! For the month of March, Armstrong is offering $5 draft beers to any teacher who visits the taproom, so drop your rulers and TI-83’s, form a single file line (remember, no talking in line and keep your hands to yourself), and march over to our South San Francisco taproom. Just make sure you bring your teacher identification (and pocket protectors).
We’d like to also invite our local community to show their support for our wonderful teachers and join us for a “Are You Smarter Than a Teacher” trivia night on March 13th, where our taproom guests can square off against a team of teachers from South San Francisco’s local schools.
Winners will receive “something fun, yet educational” and an Honor Roll sticker to permanently and obnoxiously affix to their parents’ cars.
“Saved by the Bel-gain was brewed in honor of those teachers that inspired us when we were young,” said co-founder & CEO, Benjermin Colombo. “If it wasn’t for the awesome teachers I had growing up, who knows, maybe I would have become a banker and not an entrepreneur.”
Remember, teachers can enjoy $5 beers from among our twelve (12) rotating house taps. But, of course, we recommend our newest beer, Saved by the Bel-gian!
Armstrong is proud to be a member of the South San Francisco community, and we stand in solidarity with our teachers. Raise a pint, drink responsibly, and hug a teacher (just ask for their permission first).
