SSFPD Media Release: Homicide, Suspect Arrested

On Monday, August 5,. 2019, at 10:00 am, South San Francisco Police and South San Francisco Fire Department Paramedics responded to the 800 block of Airport Boulevard on the report of an assault where one subject was possibly left unconscious.

 

Upon arrival, police observed a subject, Vincent Osegueda, exiting a nearby secluded area. Police searched the area and located an unconscious male adult partially concealed in shrubbery.

 

Paramedics immediately began performing life saving measures; however, the victim had already succumbed to his injuries. South San Francisco Police detectives responded to the scene and are currently investigating the motive behind this incident.

 

The victim has been identified as a 62 – year old South San Francisco resident.

 

The male suspect, Vincent Osegueda, is a 34 -year old South San Francisco resident and he was booked into the San Mateo County Jail for murder.

The San Mateo County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as 62-year-old South San Francisco resident Joseph Mendoza.
