Saint Augustine Parish is turning Golden
The Saint Augustine Parish in South San Francisco will be celebrating its 50th Anniversary in 2020. To kickoff the jubilee planning for this historical milestone, everyone is invited to attend the 9:30 AM Thanksgiving Mass on Sunday, November 10.
The Golden Jubilee theme is
REFLECT, REJOICE, RENEW.
The jubilee year is a time to recall how St. Augustine Parish played a huge part in the lives of many parish families. Over the last 50 years, parish families have received countless blessings through the Daily or Weekly Eucharist, and Sacramental celebrations, to name a few. It is a time to celebrate and give thanks for the vast parish-family we have become. St. Augustine Parish has been the largest parish in the Archdiocese of San Francisco. It is a time to renew our baptismal call to love God (Worship), to deeply understand and share our faith (Evangelization), and to serve the poor in our midst (Service).
The Jubilee Ad Hoc Committee is planning a year-long celebration that consists of spiritual, historical, and other parish-wide activities and events. We encourage our parish families and friends to celebrate with us by participating in one or more of the jubilee activities.
