Boys & Girls Clubs of North San Mateo County Invite the Public to the Annual Youth of the Year Celebration Thursday, January 30th

South San Francisco, CA   January 16, 2020 Submitted by Aubrey Merriman, CEO

The countdown to our 2020 Youth of the Year is now at 14 days.  Thank you in advance for your investment in our Youth of the Year Celebration.  The Youth of the Year program honors and celebrates the nation’s most inspiring teens and their incredible journeys. Stories of outstanding leadership, service, academic excellence and dedication to living a healthy lifestyle have made Youth of the Year America’s premier leadership and recognition program for teens. These amazing young people represent the voice and spirit of hope for America. Inspiring all kids to lead. To succeed. To inspire.  From October to January, our Youth of the Year candidates take part in an intense leadership development program that involves public speaking, one-on-one mentorship, essay writing, and team building. With the help of our caring staff and volunteers, these youth grow and flourish into confident leaders with inspirational visions and goals for their futures. Our Youth of the Year Event will take place on Thursday, January 30th from 6:30-8:30pm at BOX Headquarters in Redwood City.  During the event, you will have a chance to hear speeches from our kids about where they started, how your support has helped shaped who they are today, and what big dreams they have for the future. We will also present our organization’s most prestigious honor – Youth of the Year – to one deserving teen.
