South San Francisco Parks And Recreation Refund Policy

The Parks and Recreation Department will be issuing credits for all cancelled classes, programs, and rentals due to COVID-19. If you plan to request a refund, please note that refunds may take longer than the usual 2-6 week window to process.
Please refer to the specific program area below for information about credits and refunds.
Aquatics refunds due to COVID-19 will be issued at the end of the Spring session based on the number of cancelled class sessions. If you wish to withdraw from the Spring session all together, please email [email protected] and include the participant’s name and class. For more information contact Acting Aquatics Supervisor, Brian Noce at [email protected]
Childcare refunds will be issued and will vary based on the program, see below:
  • Spring Camp refunds will be issued in full and remain as a credit on your account. A written request for a refund must be sent to Childcare Supervisor, Laura Armanino at [email protected] if you wish for your refund to be credited back in the form of your payment (credit card or check).
  • Preschool and ASRP programs will be prorated once the programs returns back in session. For more information, contact the Childcare Supervisor, Laura Armanino at [email protected].
  • At this time, Summer Camp refunds are only issued if requested (in writing) no later than the Tuesday of the previous week. There is a non-refundable $50.00 deposit per week, per child.
Classes refunds due to COVID-19 for the Winter session were issued as credits to your account. Class refunds due to the cancellation of the initial 2 weeks due to COVID-19 for the Spring session will be issued as credits to your account at the end of the Spring session. If you wish to withdraw from the Spring session all together, please email [email protected] and include the participant’s name and class. For more information contact Acting Classes Supervisor, Devin Stenhouse at [email protected]
Facility Rentals cancelled due to COVID-19 will receive a full refund issued to the permit holder. Please note refunds may take 2-6 weeks. Please contact Rentals Supervisor, Mike Mulkerrins at [email protected] for additional information. We are not taking new reservations at this time.
Picnic Rentals cancelled due to COVID-19 will receive a full refund issued to the permit holder. Please note refunds may take 2-6 weeks. Please contact Rentals Supervisor, Mike Mulkerrins at [email protected] for additional information. We are not taking new reservations at this time.
Sports programs refunds will be issued and will vary based on the program, see below. For Sports questions, please contact Bill Stridbeck at [email protected] or Mike Mulkerrins at [email protected]
  • RAPP K-2 Winter session participants who’s last class was cancelled due to COVID-19, will receive a credit on their accounts for the missed class.
  • 6th Grade Basketball participants will receive a credit on their accounts for the cancelled classes due to COVID-19.
  • Middle School Spring sports will be issued credits for days missed due to COVID-19 at the end of the Spring session.
  • Spring Adult Basketball and Adult Softball leagues-In the event that the season is cancelled due to COVID-19, all payments will be rolled over to the following season or refunded based on the team’s request.
