South San Francisco, CA  May 8, 2020

Graduating Seniors from South San Francisco that have won awards during their last year of high school will now be celebrated through a virtual Awards Ceremony set for May 12th at 7 pm on the South City Video Art Youtube Channel HERE.  Thanks to Video Art Program Director, Aaron Boyd, who has been teaching this craft to our students for the past 20 years, for seeking ways to honor our graduates for their accomplishments during this unprecedented time in our history as we are sheltered in place. “Obviously, students will not be there, but we will announce the winners with their photos” Mr. Boyd tells us. “Rather than post a list of the award winners on our website, I volunteered to make a little show out of it to try and make it more meaningful.”

It is for this dedication to our students that Aaron Boyd won our 2019 Annual Teacher of the Year award and we appreciate his continued ‘outside the box’ thinking that always puts our students first. We encourage all our neighbors to tune in on Tuesday, May 12th at 7 pm to witness another historical first while honoring those who have won awards.
