I’ve watched you censor people over the past few months who don’t align with your views. You don’t accurately represent everyone and everything that South City is made up of, and I’m pleased to see a Twitter taking a stand, whether it’s “co-opting your work” or not. At least it has the guts to speak up.

Change your name. You don’t represent everything south city. You don’t deserve that name if you are going to block people for having different opinions. Many of people that were blocked weren’t even being inflammatory.

Admins post racist symbols and then ban people on their Facebook page for pointing it out.

Maybe if you weren’t publishing white supremacist symbols all over your Facebook page, there wouldn’t be a need to repurpose your brand.

You already have silenced your audience. No one wants to listen to you anymore

That twitter account has been more helpful connecting and educating community members who actually care about the Black Lives Matter movement. Unlike your Facebook page, that twitter account hasn’t blocked anyone for wanting to engage in dialog—if anything, that twitter encourages it. If you folks were really about South City and it’s community members, you wouldn’t have blocked anyone on your Facebook page.
Let’s not forget that. Let’s not forget that you silenced (and still actively do) community members that spoke out against your beliefs. “Everything South City” isn’t just Kamala and her editors, it’s EVERYTHING and EVERYONE in South City—no matter what our disagreements may be.
And instead of writing a whole article in an attempt to derail the work being done to support the Black Lives Matter movement and create a dialog and space for what it means to dreams ssfpd and reinvest that money into the community, you should have practiced real journalism and reached out to this twitter account. As a community member, I am disappointed in you. I am disappointed in what this establishment has become. I am disappointed in how you have failed to properly give these community members a voice and platform. Do better.

Kamala, you wrote “Everything South City is a site I created to help give our neighbors a voice and a way to keep our locals informed about everything going on in our city.” If this is true, then why did you block members of the community that were voicing their concerns about supporting the Black Lives Matter Movement and the injustices that led to our current climate? How is that not part of ESC? Why were those members silenced?

Truth is, you’re selective on who gets to have a voice on your platform and that’s disappointing but not surprising.

isn’t social media wonderful?, what you
really should be interested in, is where
are these extremists groups getting their funding? and how are they able to operate?
