Are you a small landlord in South San Francisco experiencing impacts due to COVID-19? On July 22, 2020, the City Council of the City of South San Francisco appropriated $280,000 for the Landlord Default Prevention Program. The Program provides grants to owners of nine or fewer units in South San Francisco who have at least one lower income tenant that has been unable to pay their rent in part or in full due to COVID-19 impacts, as well as other eligibility criteria.
Preliminary applications will be accepted August 24, 2020 through September 14, 2020.

After the application period closes, applications will be ranked based on need, with landlords in default and with a greater proportion of low income tenants being served first. If selected based on this ranking, landlords will be asked to provide additional documentation to the City to make a final determination on funding
