South San Francisco Caltrain Station Temporary Closure

South San Francisco, CA  August 14, 2020 Submitted by Caltrain

The South San Francisco Station will be closed on August 29 and 30 (Saturday and Sunday) for construction of the new temporary platform. This work requires the station closure as the platform will move to a temporary location so work on the final center-boarding platform can continue. Below are some additional details:
  • Trains will operate based on regular weekend schedule, but will skip the South San Francisco Station
  • This work will occur during day and night hours to ensure Caltrain will be able to provide Monday morning service at the station
  • Due to low ridership, there will not be alternative transportation (no shuttles). Riders are encouraged to use San Bruno station if possible during the weekend closure as it has ample parking and will continue receiving regular weekend service.

so now downtown ssf will have a new
homeless shelter (a new pedestrian
underpass) open to the slackers
from the hotel on north access road),
this should contribute to a higher
crime rate, and the bums won’t have
to travel twice as far, anyone looking
for a comparison, check out the
underpass at the palo alto caltrain
station, oh and bring a mask
