San Francisco Wine School proudly presents special holiday edition of Battle of the Grapes ? Italy vs California benefiting the Museo Italo Americano and their Italian and Italian-American art and culture programs.  This live, virtual event hosted by Master Sommelier and Founder of San Francisco Wine School, David Glancy, MS, CWE, will feature an 8-wine blind tasting of four Italian varietals/styles (Sparkling, Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, & Dessert Frizzante) with one from Italy and one from California. Can you tell which is which?

Join David, special guest Laura Donadoni, The Italian Wine Girl, and your fellow attendees from the comfort of your own home as we all taste the wines together, learn the history of the grapes, the origin of the wines, and some blind tasting techniques to help us identify their region.

Tasting kits are included in the cost of the event.  Kits may be picked up at San Francisco Wine School free of charge or delivered in 43 states for an additional fee.  View wine pickup and delivery options.  Mixed cases will be available for sale through San Francisco Wine School after the event.

A portion of the ticket sales will benefit the Museo Italo Americano.  We also encourage attendees to make additional donations directly to the Museo to ensure it’s ready to reopen and welcome visitors this fall!
