At approximately 3:00 pm, South San Francisco Police went to an apartment on the 1000 block of Grand Avenue, on the report of a suspicious circumstance. Family members received a text message from a relative that led police to believe a homicide may have occurred in the apartment. During a subsequent investigation, officers made entry into the apartment and located a deceased male and a deceased female.
The investigation determined the deaths were the result of a homicide / suicide. The male victim was the tenant of the apartment and female victim was his acquaintance. Both victims were adults and there were no other occupants in the apartment.
The investigation is ongoing at this time and investigators are still at the scene. There is no threat to the community and / or residents at this time.
