On December 14, 2020 at approximately 3:27 p.m., a South San Francisco resident was riding a bicycle in a marked crosswalk at the intersection of Mission Road and Chestnut Avenue, when a silver pick-up truck struck him. The cyclist sustained major non-life threatening injuries and was immediately transported to a local hospital by the South San Francisco Fire Department Paramedics. The driver remained on scene and cooperated with the investigation. Drugs nor alcohol appeared to be a contributing factor to the collision.
