Barbara Lee Bergamaschi, 87, passed away peacefully in Redwood City on January 10, 2021 surrounded by her family. She was born on March 30, 1934 to Walter and Mary (Cassagrande) Ryan.
Barbara lived most of her life in South San Francisco. She attended South San Francisco High where she met the love of her life, Richard Bergamaschi. They married on February 14, 1954 and lived their fairytale love story together for 67 years.
Mother to Richard (Marchele) and Lori (Sam) Runco. She was happiest when spending time with her grandchildren, Chad, Marcus and Paige Bergamaschi and, Sammy, Nick and Sarah Runco. She was a great grandmother to Bentley (Paige) and Luca (Chad). She is also survived by her brothers Tim and Terry Hilton and Gary Ryan.
Barbara was an avid golfer and was a member of Sharp Park Womens Club as well as Harding Park. She was a member of the Italian Catholic Federation in SSF. Cooking and gathering with her friends were some of her favorite things to do. You could always count on Barbara for a great homemade meal.
While she was a beautiful wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, she was also a beautiful, thoughtful, kind and generous person. She will be thought of always and missed forever.
