SSFPD Media Release: Strong Arm Robbery

On February 10, 2021, at approximately 2:07 p.m., a female victim left a bank on the 300 block of Linden Avenue after making a deposit. When she arrived at her workplace located on the 400 block of Grand Avenue, a black four-door sedan, possibly a Chevrolet Malibu with tinted windows, followed the victim from the bank.
An adult male exited the passenger’s door of the Chevrolet Malibu and ran to the victim from behind. The suspect forcefully removed a black cash deposit pouch from the victim’s hand. The suspect ran back to the awaiting Chevrolet Malibu, and the suspects fled the scene southbound on Spruce Avenue and right onto the 500 block of Baden Avenue.
The victim was not injured. The primary suspect was described as a Black male, approximately 6’0″ tall, 180 lbs., wearing a black mask, black jacket, black pants, and black shoes. At this time, police do not have a description of the suspect driver; however, the investigation is ongoing.
