Friends of Old Town Announce Community Meeting Regarding Express Lanes on Hwy 101 on March 18th

South San Francisco, CA  March 3, 2021 Submitted by Brittany Burgo, Friends of Old Town

Background:
As you may know, 22 miles of Express Lanes are being added to U.S. 101 in San Mateo County. The new express lanes will reduce congestion in the corridor, increase the number of people who can travel through the corridor, encourage carpooling and transit use, improve travel times, and more.

A portion of these lane tolls will fund a transportation pilot program aimed at helping historically underserved communities. We hope you can join us for our second online community meeting on Thursday, March 18, from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. to get feedback on some program alternatives.
