Dimitrios Psarros passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by family on April 15, 2021. Dimitrios was born in Kontakeika, Samos, Greece on January 16, 1934, to Nicholas and Maria Psarros along with his brother George, sisters Maro and Nitsa. He immigrated to Montreal, Canada in 1960 joining his brother and sister. There he married his wife Evangelia in 1963 and had his son Nick. The family then moved to the United States in 1967 and settled in their current home in South San Francisco in 1969.

Dimitrios worked in the automotive industry as a body man, painter and detailer. He spent over 25 years working at Turner Ford in San Bruno. Dimitrios really enjoyed fishing, gardening and socializing with family and friends. If you were lucky enough to live near Dimitrios, you could count on enjoying tomatoes, squash and beans from the garden or oranges, figs and apricots from the many fruit trees at the house. After one of his regular trips to Half Moon Bay to visit his fishermen friends, he would return with a bounty of seafood to share with all of his family and friends. He had a large circle of friends in the many activities he participated in and kept in close contact with everyone through the years. He really enjoyed going to the community garden, socializing and exchanging gardening tips and stories. He also looked forward to the yearly Greek Festival at the Belmont Greek Orthodox Church where he would meet up with friends and volunteer.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Evangelia, of 57 years, his Son Nick and Daughter-in-law Celeste. A funeral service will be held at the Greek Memorial Cemetery in Colma on Wednesday, April 21. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations may be made to a charity of their choice
