Each week, Stanford Under the Stars: Movie Nights at Frost brings a selection of movies featuring actors who attended Stanford or various iconic Northern California filming locations, from the streets of Oakland to wine country.

What is the capacity for Movie Nights at Frost?
Frost Amphitheater’s capacity limits are reduced to 400, or 5% of the amphitheater’s total capacity, allowing for seating arrangements that adhere to social distancing guidelines.
How can I purchase tickets for Movie Nights at Frost?
Tickets are sold in advance online only and emailed to patrons the day of the show. E-tickets will then be scanned on patrons’ phones upon entry. Tickets may be purchased in seating pods of one, two, four, or six tickets. All ticket sales end at midnight the day before the show. Public ticket sales begin Friday, April 9.
Where can I park?
Parking is FREE on the Stanford campus in metered and lettered parking zones on weekdays after 4:00 PM and on weekends at all times. Disabled parking, loading, and service vehicle restrictions are enforced at all times. Click here for a map and directions to Frost Amphitheater.
What health and safety protocols does Stanford Live have in place?
Over the past year, Stanford Live has been working closely with health and university officials to ensure a safe experience for patrons. All events at Frost adhere to the following guidelines issued by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), Santa Clara County, and the state of California for increased health and safety procedures.
Patrons are required to wear face masks that cover their nose and mouth at all times and must stay at least six feet apart from those not in their household. Signage in the venue will direct patrons and encourage social distancing. In addition, Frost Amphitheater has acquired hand sanitizer stations to be placed strategically around the venue. Learn more about Frost’s COVID-19 safety guidelines. Failure to follow these guidelines will result in removal from the venue.
Patrons should stay home if they are experiencing a fever or any COVID-19 symptoms, have tested positive for COVID-19 within the past 14 days, or have had close contact with anyone who is confirmed or is suspected of having COVID-19.

Do I have to wear a mask?
You are required to wear a face mask that covers your nose and mouth at all times. If you are eating, please cover your face between bites and sips.
How does seating work?
Tickets are available in pods of one, two, four, and six, with a limit of one pod per household for each movie. All patrons must sit in their assigned seats during the movie. Chairs cannot be moved.
What can I bring?
Frost Amphitheater’s clear bag policy is still in place. Only small clutch bags (no larger than 5”x8”) and clear plastic, vinyl or PVC bags that do not exceed 12″W x 12″H x 6″D will be allowed inside the venue (one bag per person). Small clutch bags can be carried separately or within a clear bag.
Blankets are permitted to be used on your lap or to stay warm but must fit in your clear bag. Blankets cannot exceed 40″x60”and are not permitted on the grass.
Permitted food and beverage items include bagged snacks and personal food items, factory sealed water bottles 20 oz. or under (1 bottle per person), and empty, reusable water bottles. If the reusable bottle is over 20 oz it must be non-metal. Water refill stations are located near each restroom building in the venue. All snacks and bottles must fit in your clear bag.
